About Darner Therapy
Change is hard. So are relationships. Not coincidentally, both are worth it. Therapy exists because having a space to process, talk, and grow can help make the hard stuff easier.
Why the dragonfly? Symbolizing rebirth, transformation, and resilience for peoples across the world, the darner (dragonfly) can provide a vision of our inner selves as we truly imagine them to be.
Pete Campie, LMFT, C-DBT
Hi, I'm Pete. My work is helping people navigate their relationships, struggles, and emotional experiences. I use a blend of narrative, experiential, DBT, and emotionally-focused approaches in my work and take pride in constantly refining my knowledge & therapeutic skills.
Originally from the Quad Cities, I've lived in the Iowa City area for about 10 years. Outside of work, I spend time writing, exercising (catch me at the bottom of the Peloton leaderboard), and spending time with my wife, three children, and two Labradors.

Core Values
-
Integrity - I don't seek to keep clients simply to keep my schedule full. I want you to reach your goals and have the tools to decide what's next.
-
Honesty - I'm plain spoken and straight up. I won't simply tell you you're always right or just reflect your words back to you - we'll collaborate and work to grow.
-
Ethics - Acting ethically is the natural extension of our responsibility to treat our fellow human beings as having immense worth. I will always treat you as having immense worth - because you do.
